 Directions to VPAC or Great Hall

VPAC or the Great Hall is San Fernando Valley's new center for culture and entertainment. VPAC is a LEED Certified building with an impressive all glass facade. The 1700-seat venue located at the corner of Nordhoff and Lindley in Northridge, CA and is part of the CSUN ( Cal State Northridge) campus.

OPTION #1 FOR B1 LOT PARK and RIDE (Free R/T Shuttle) or PARK and WALK

The Park and Ride Option places you in the B1 Parking Lot located close to VPAC or Great Hall. You have the option to take an 8 - 10 minute walk or ride the FREE ROUND TRIP SHUTTLE. The shuttle will drop you off directly in front of the VPAC South Entrance AND pick you up after the performance transporting you back to the B1 Parking Lot.

DIRECTIONS to B1 PARKING + HOW TO BUY A PARKING PASS AND PARK

From Points East, West and South:

  1. Get onto Nordhoff.
  2. Turn North onto Lindley.
  3. Make a quick Left turning West onto the Nordhoff Service Road.
  4. Pay $6 Cash to the Parking Attendant.
  5. Proceed to the B1 Parking Lot.
  6. Place your Parking Pass on the dashboard and lock your vehicle.

From Points North:

  1. Turn South onto Reseda.
  2. Turn Left/East onto Nordhoff.
  3. Make a quick Left onto Lindley Ave and then another quick Left turning West onto the Nordhoff Service Road and D1 Lot Area.
  4. Pay $6 Cash to the Parking Attendant.
  5. Proceed to the B1 Parking Lot.
  6. Place your Parking Pass on the dashboard and lock your vehicle.

DIRECTIONS to ACCESSIBLE PARKING - Option A or B

  1. Follow directions above.
  2. Pay $6 Cash to the Parking Attendant.
    • A) There are LIMITED number of Accessible Parking located on the D1 LOT or Nordhoff Service Road.
    • B) Proceed to the B1 Parking Lot, the Accessible Parking spots are located on the East end of the lot bordering Etiwanda Ave. and you can tak the Free Shuttle from the B1 Lot (see below).
  3. Place your Parking Pass on the dashboard and lock your vehicle.

HOW TO WALK TO THE FREE SHUTTLE STOP FROM B1

  1. The Shuttle Stop is located off the B1 lot by Etiwanda Ave.
  2. The Shuttle will be marked VPAC or Valley Performing Arts Center.

HOW TO WALK TO VPAC from the B1 PARKING LOT​

  1. From B1 head East, following the sidewalk along the Nordhoff Service Road.
  2. If you have your printed tickets in hand, Enter from the South or North Courtyard Doors. To Pick Up tickets at Will Call or to Purchase tickets at the Box Office see the information below:
    • Need to Pick Up Tickets? Go to the VPAC Will Call - Proceed straight past the South entrance up the ramp to the Will Call window
    • Need to Buy Tickets? Go to the VPAC Box Office - Proceed to the front of VPAC then take the Left fork path. Follow the path past the front of the venue. At the end of the path, make a Right entering the VPAC Courtyard. Walk to the end of the Courtyard and make a left. You will now be in front of the VPAC Box Office.

OPTION #2 FOR G3 Stucture PARK and WALK Only

The Park and Walk Option gets you to the parking area a tad closer to the VPAC. Please know that you will be enjoying a 10 - 15 minute walk and make sure to allow yourself enough time to park and walk. Follow the instructions below:

DIRECTIONS to G3 PARKING

From Points East, West and South:

  1. Get onto Nordhoff.
  2. Turn North onto Zelzah.
  3. At the next light, Turn West onto Prairie entering the CSUN Campus.

From Points North:

  1. Turn South onto Zelzah.
  2. Turn West onto Prairie entering the CSUN Campus.

HOW TO BUY A PARKING PASS and PARK

  1. Proceed to EITHER the Information Booth 3 to purchase a $6 Parking Pass OR Proceed directly to G3 Structure or G3 Lot and purchase your pass at one of the yellow self-pay stations (coins/$1 or $5/credit or debit accepted)
  2. Park in an UNMARKED parking stall.
  3. Place your Parking Pass on the dashboard and lock your vehicle.

HOW TO WALK TO VPAC from G3 Parking Structure

  1. From G3, Exit the structure from the West side.
  2. Cross Bertrand Street and head West on the walking path.
  3. Look for the Valley Performing Arts Center signage attached to the light poles.
  4. When you reach Lindley, cross the street and turn Left.
  5. Head South on Lindley towards the VPAC building.
  6. Make a right onto Mike Curb Art Walk and then an immediate Left into the VPAC Courtyard. If you have your printed tickets in hand, then enter the building from the main doors where the Ushers will greet you and scan your ticket.
    • Need to Buy Tickets? Go to the VPAC Box Office - This will be located in the VPAC Courtyard.
    • Need to Pick Up Tickets? Go to the VPAC Will Call - This is located at the other side of the building aka South side of the building. From the VPAC Courtyard, Head west.
  7. CONTINUING TO WILL CALL ONLY: Take the walking path South past the front of the VPAC Building towards Nordhoff St.
  8. Make a Left at the end of the path.
  9. Proceed past the South entrance, up the ramp to the VPAC Will Call.

HOW TO TAKE A SENIC WALK TO VPAC from G3 Parking Structure - the scenic route through the Orange Grove

  1. Exit G3 from the South side.
  2. Enter the Orange Grove following the walking path​.
  3. Turn Right onto Haskell Walk passing the duck pond that will be on your left.
  4. Cross Lindley and make a quick Left.
  5. Now make a quick Right onto Mike Curb Art Walk.
  6. And a Left into the VPAC Courtyard. If you have your printed tickets in hand, then enter the building from the main doors where the Ushers will greet you.
    • Need to Buy Tickets? Go to the VPAC Box Office - This will be located in the VPAC Courtyard.
    • Need to Pick Up Tickets? Go to the VPAC Will Call - This is located at the other side of the building aka South side of the building. From the VPAC Courtyard, Head west

 Driving Directions to Plaza del Sol

Plaza del Sol is an intimate 500-seat theater located in the University Student Union (USU) area of California State University Northridge (CSUN). It is located on the east side of campus just North of Prairie Street.

FOR G3 Structure of G3 Lot to PARK and WALK

The Park and Walk Option gets you to the parking areas closest to the Plaza del Sol. Please know that you will be enjoying a 10 minute walk and make sure to allow yourself enough time to park and walk.Follow the instructions below:

DIRECTIONS to G3 PARKING

From Points East, West and South:

  1. Get onto Nordhoff.
  2. Turn North onto Zelzah.
  3. At the next light, Turn West onto Prairie entering the CSUN Campus.

From Points North:

  1. Turn South onto Zelzah.
  2. Turn West onto Prairie entering the CSUN Campus.

DIRECTIONS to G3 ACCESSIBLE PARKING

Follow directions above, then…

  1. Turn Left onto Bertrand Street.
  2. Turn Left into Accessible Parking Lot.

HOW TO WALK TO PLAZA del SOL HALL

  1. From the G3 Structure or G3 Lot, walk North, crossing Prairie Street.
    (Tip: Look for the signs marking today/tonight's performance.)
  2. Follow the path North and as you walk, the giant, gray CSUN Student Recreation Center (SRC) will be on your right-hand side.
  3. You will come to a large, back lit Directory sign. Turn Left here.
    (Tip: You know you've gone the wrong way if you end up in a building with Treadmills and Workout rooms. This is the Student Rec Center, and since you're not here for an aerobics class, it's best to turn around and walk in the opposite direction.)

Now you have entered the USU or University Student Union area.

  1. Walk to the middle of the plaza.
    (Tip: Look for the "Ticket Office" sign)
  2. Once you see the "Ticket Office" sign, you have arrived! Take a deep breath and feel the pride.

Parking for the Valley Performing Arts Center is in lot B1 on Nordhoff St and Darby Ave.  From there, patrons may take our free Special Assistance Shuttle Service right to the door.

Parking for Plaza del Sol is located in the G3 parking structure. The G3 structure is accessed by entering Prairie Street from Zelzah Avenue. Valley Performing Arts Center patrons may also park in G3, however, shuttle service is only provided to/from B1.

Parking Permits are required at all times, in all lots. Parking passes are $6.00 and are good until midnight of the day purchased. Parking passes may be purchased at machines within each parking structure or lot, as well as the Information Booths on Darby Ave & Prairie Street or Nordhoff & Lindley Avenue.

Accessible Parking

ADA IconsAmericans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Parking permit required. Visitors requiring accommodations for a disability, call venue info number at least two weeks in advance. Vehicles with the handicap placard are still required to have a parking permit.

Limited Accessible Parking and Drop-Off is located on the *D1 Parking Lot in front of the Valley Performing Arts Center on the corner of Lindley Avenue and Nordhoff Street.

Note: ADA spaces in D1 usually fill up an hour to an hour and a half before performances

Valley Performing Arts Center provides shuttle service to our patrons that are in need of special assistance from the B1 parking lot.

Public Transportation

For information on bus service to the Valley Performing Arts Center, please contact the MTA at 323.GO.METRO or visit their website: www.metro.net. You can also use the Metro's Trip Planner for those using public transportation.

Also, the Metrolink's Ventura County Line stops at the Northridge Station located about 1 mile from the Valley Performing Arts Center then you can connect via a Metro Buses, LADOT - Dash and the Cal State University Northridge Shuttle.
