Audience Services

When to Arrive

Allow yourself time to park and get to the theaters / venues by planning to arrive at least 45 minutes before your performance time.

Late Seating Notice

Performances begin promptly at their scheduled times. Latecomers will be seated at the first interval or intermission.

Cellular Phones, Beepers and Watch Alarms

Use of cameras, recording equipment and cellular phones are not permitted. All pagers and cell phones must be silenced before the start of the performance.

Photography & Video Recording

Due to copyright laws and in consideration of the performers, the use of photographic or recording devices of any kind inside the theatre is strictly prohibited. If you bring a camera with you, we will politely ask you to check it at the Patron Services window, or with an usher before entering the theatre.

Backpacks & Large Items

For the safety and comfort of all of our patrons, backpacks and large items are not allowed into the Valley Performing Arts Center Great Hall, or the Plaza del Sol Performance Hall. However these items can be checked at the Patron Services coat check for the duration of the performance. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation on this matter.

Smoking

California State University, Northridge is a smoke-free environment. Smoking is not permitted in the restrooms, theatre auditorium, lobby, balconies, courtyard or within 30 feet of the building at any time.

Lost & Found

The House Manager will hold lost articles until the end of the performance. Please contact VPAC@csun.edu to inquire about lost articles.

Disruptive Patrons

Patrons of any age whose behavior is not appropriate will be asked to leave the theatre. No refunds will be given once the curtain has gone up and the show has begun.

Children

Children 5 years old or older are welcome at most events and, regardless of age, must have a ticket. Infants on laps are not permitted unless specified.  Please inquire when purchasing tickets on age appropriateness. To ensure safety, children under the age of 8 will not be allowed to sit in the front row on balcony and loge levels, nor will they be allowed to sit in box seats on any level.  Thank you for understanding.

Emergency Contact Number

In an emergency, to contact patrons or theatre staff during performances, please call the Campus Police 24 hour dispatch at (818) 677-2111. Campus Police will send an officer to the Valley Performing Arts Center and Plaza del Sol Performance Hall. Be sure to leave your seating section, seat numbers and the above phone number with the person who may need to contact you. Should an emergency arise, a member of the Valley Performing Arts Center and Plaza del Sol Performance Hall House Staff will contact you at your seat.

Seating

The Valley Performing Arts Center will make every effort to ensure seating preferences are fullfilled, but cannot guarantee any specific seat selections.

Will Call

Will call is available for pickup beginning 1 hour prior to showtime at the Ticket Office. Tickets will only be released after showing a valid photo ID.

Please note that the Ticket Office will close after intermission. If there is not an intermission, the Ticket Office will close 30 minutes after the start of the performance. Leftover will call can be found at Guest Services, located in the Lobby. 

Ticket Cancellation, Exchange, Refund Policy

There are NO EXCHANGES, REFUNDS, or CANCELLATIONS for purchased tickets. Exceptions may be made for cancelled or rescheduled performances.
