Shirley MacLaine“This is the most incredible theatre I’ve performed at in 4,000 years—and to think, it’s in the Valley!!”

--SHIRLEY MACLAINE, Academy Award-winning actress, dancer and author

Dame Kiri Te Kanawa“I must admit that this hall is really wonderful to sing in.  It has such beautiful acoustic; I hope that other singers can enjoy the acoustics as much as I have.”

--DAME KIRI TE KANAWA, Opera Singer and Founder of the
Kiri Te Kanawa Foundation

Doc Severinsen"The first thing that I look for [in a concert space] is the quality of the sound, and there was nothing but good stuff at the Valley Performing Arts Center. I think it's comparable to some of the best halls I've played in the country. You could put a symphony orchestra in there or a rock and roll act or a Broadway musical. You could put on opera on that stage! And the look is very modern but has a warm feel to it. You can only imagine how many people in the Valley are thrilled to be able to hop in their car and drive over there without having to fight that traffic all the way in and all the way back out."

—DOC SEVERINSEN, Jazz Musician and former Tonight Show band leader

Pavel KoganI am happy and appreciate immensely the honor of opening the Concert Hall in Northridge, California, that was granted to me and Moscow State Symphony Orchestra (MSSO).

From now on, true admirers of symphonic music will enjoy the art of celebrated performers and bands in a commendable ambience – and this is wonderful! The concert of MSSO and me will be a kind of testing and fine tuning of the Hall’s acoustic properties.

The Orchestra and I used to be pioneers of a number of concert halls all over the world. We were the first performers in preeminent Waterfront Hall (Belfast, Ireland) and Moscow International House of Music (Moscow, Russia), as well as one of the opening musicians of inimitable Birmingham Symphony Hall in UK. I hope that our performance will bless the commencement of long and glorious history of this new Temple of Music and will contribute to cultural enrichment of its visitors.

I am looking forward to our meeting, my beloved audience!

–PAVEL KOGAN - Conductor & Music Director, Moscow State Symphony Orchestra
