Our Donors
Since the campaign’s silent phase was launched July 1, 2005, the following lead gifts have been received or pledged:
- A gift of $10 million from Cal State Northridge alumnus Mike Curb which includes $5 million for the Valley Performing Arts Center and $5 million for the College of Arts, Media & Communication
- A $2.3 million bequest from the late Jack and Mary Bayramian to establish student scholarships in the new Valley Performing Arts Center
- A $2 million bequest from the late Clyde Porter, San Fernando Valley arts pioneer and philanthropist, to name the Founders’ Room the Porter Pavilion
- A $2 million LA County contribution facilitated by Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky as part of a unique initiative to explore arts partnerships between the university and the county's Music Center
- $1.2 million from Nextel Communications
- A $1 million pledge from David and Jean Fleming to name the Grand Staircase
- $1 million from the CSUN Foundation and $500,000 from the CSUN Alumni Association
- A $500,000 LA county contribution from Supervisor Michael Antonovich

- Northern Trust, N.A. to name the VIP Gardens
- Sam and Mary Haskell to name the Orange Grove Walk

- Ginny Mancini, widow of the late composer/conductor Henry Mancini, who were longtime Valley residents, to name the Henry Mancini Orchestra Pit
